Set up an ads account and start a test campaign. In the Question Targeting section, you can add a few keywords.

Quora can tell you how popular questions are. That tells you how many people are asking and reading about that topic.

However, you’ll also need keywords to help people find that content. Let’s check out how you can use Quora for both parts of the equation.

Choosing the right keywords means users are more likely to see your content. Quora helps you research keywords you didn’t realize you need.

Quora first launched back in 2010. Since then, it’s become a legitimate part of many content marketing strategies.

Content Creation.

The tool will show you the number of weekly views. The higher the views, the more likely people are searching for that topic on search engines.

Turn Quora questions into headlines. They contain the keywords you need, phrased in the same language a user would use.

You may adapt the questions, particularly if the question is too short.

You can also run the URL of an answer through a keyword tool. This can extract potential long-tail keywords from the content for you.

This also means that you will find lots of ways to describe the same topic. You can scatter these new keywords throughout the content on your website.

You can find potential keywords scattered throughout the responses on those topics.

Now you know three ways to use Quora for SEO marketing. It offers great opportunities for researching content and keywords.

The backbone of any good search engine optimization (SEO) strategy is strong content. You need content or products that people will search for to bring them to your site.

If you want an answer from an authority on the subject? Go to Quora.

On social media, there’s no guarantee that you’ll get useful or even correct responses. Experts and industry professionals post responses on Quora. You get answers with real expertise behind them.

They’re also notoriously difficult to get right. How do you address the content for the user and provide the keywords Google looks for?

“I’ll work closely with YOU, to customise and develop a content marketing and SEO strategy that includes maximising Quora. Different packages available to suit your needs and budget”

Does that sound like a lot of work? Check out our SEO services and let us do the legwork for you.

If you have access to a premium keyword tool, you can even reverse-engineer specific answers for even more data.

If you’ve ever put a question into Google, you’ve probably seen Quora among your search results. It’s often near the top of the page beside Wikipedia.

Using Quora for SEO.

You also need to create relevant content to host those keywords. How do you know what to create?

How does it work for other marketing strategies? Can you use Quora for SEO? Read on to learn more.

Quora is a question-and-answer website. It’s aimed at collecting expertise on a range of topics. You can always ask questions on Twitter or Facebook. The difference is who answers them.

Look up your topic on Quora. You’ll see everyday speech in the responses. It’s written by a real human, so you get a great insight into how actual people discuss your topic.

Headlines are one of the most important parts of your content. They’re what encourage users to click through to your website from Google or social media.

Marshall Thurlow is Director and Founder of Orion Marketing Pty Ltd. He is a digital marketer with expertise in SEO, website design, content marketing and project management. With over 15 years of experience spanning government, not-for-profit and the private sector, he is well equipped to lead teams to success. He is a big proponent of environmental sustainability, critical thinking and progressive issues.

Be careful with that, though. You don’t want to come across as a sales rep who’s hungry for backlinks when answering a question.

That’s because some folks follow Quora questions.

Retargeting is a great way to get a “second chance” at people who visited your website but didn’t become paying customers.

When people visit your website and then read some answers on Quora, they’re candidates for retargeting.

And they get all kinds of answers as well.

Get Traffic With Quora Advertising.

Take a look at the left-hand sidebar and you’ll see some filter options. Scroll to the very bottom to the “By Time” options.

Also, keep in mind that sometimes questions, like blog posts, tend to go viral. That means you can gain a great deal of publicity by answering a single question that turns out to be very popular.

Of course, there’s a catch. You have to convince people that you know a lot about digital marketing in the process of giving your answer.

Some answers get upvotes from the person who asked the question, but other users can upvote an answer as well.

You can also retarget people with Quora advertising.

As we’ve seen, that question about how to become the best digital marketer received more than 600 answers.

In fact, Quora advertising is a great way to get the word out about your brand without worrying about outranking other answers.

Although it’s typically an excellent idea to answer recent questions, you might find that it’s worthwhile to address old questions as well.

Head over to Google and type this question in the search bar: “what is ad rank.” Check out the results list.

Also, it’s an additional source of traffic. That means if some of your other marketing channels have a dry spell, then maybe Quora can make up some of the difference.

Answering the Old Questions.

Once you’ve installed that pixel, you’re ready to retarget people who visit Quora. That’s a separate targeting option in addition to the ones mentioned above.

Your ad will appear between answers to a question. A message that it’s “promoted” will display just above the ad.

That question got 68 answers.

For example, if you type “marketing” into that search bar, you’ll likely see the digital marketing question that we’ve covered towards the top of the results list.

In this article, we’ll go over how you can increase your exposure online with Quora advertising.

Look at the number next to “Follow” at the very top. Currently, it sits at 1.2k.

Now, ask yourself the following question: if you were a search engine marketing specialist, wouldn’t you love to have the top answer to that question?

Wrapping It Up.

Right now, the top answer to that digital marketing question has almost 28,000 views!

Quora advertising is a great way to attract more visitors to your site. Of course, it’s going to cost you money.

The one just below it? That has about 7,400 views.

For starters, if you have a more detailed answer to the question on your blog, feel free to summarize the blog post and link to it. That’s a great way to provide value and give yourself a free link.

If you’re unfamiliar with retargeting, it’s a way to reach people who’ve already engaged with your brand. In this case, “engaged with your brand” usually means that they’ve visited your website.

You’ll likely want to filter your results a bit, though.

So you can see why you want upvotes when you answer a question on Quora. You’ll more likely land the top spot and get way more views than the answers that appear below.

Why? Because it’s how you’ll convince people that you are an outstanding digital marketer.
